This hands on introductory course focuses on the fabrication of basic clasps and wire bends needed to manufacture the majority of orthodontic removable appliances. The course will focus on the bending of Adams clasps and Labial Bows, but other wire bends can be taught on request.
Led by Mr Ed Payne
Ed qualified as a dental technician in 1974 at the Eastman Dental Hospital where he progressed through his career and achieved the position of Chief Technical Instructor. After spending 48 successful years at the Eastman, Ed has now retired from the Eastman Dental Institute and works for a number of different clinicians from his own private lab. Ed is an experienced lecturer having spoken around the world on the subject of dental technology.
Aim
To advance the knowledge of the delegate in the fabrication of Adams Clasps and Labial Bows.
Objectives
To understand the theory and have practical knowledge, in the fabrication of Adams Clasps and Labial Bows.
